What was our inspiration? It was a phenomenal European vacation taken by company founders Kelly and Scott Smith in 2012. Arriving in Italy by train, they met a gentleman who operated a private transportation company, and who created a custom driving tour for them throughout Tuscany, traveling on their own schedule, without being bound to a tour group’s itinerary.

What made it even better were the special touches he added to the visit – his insights onto the region’s history, advice on where to shop and eat, and the guidance he provided to make the trip exceptional. This level of customer service resulted in the perfect vacation, one that would not have been possible without flexible professional transportation and a knowledgeable guide. We knew we wanted to create that same experience for our guests at Mother Lode Adventures Charter Services.

Our Shuttles

We have shuttles that can accommodate single travelers to large groups. Our vans carry up to 15 passengers and our shuttles carry up to 25 passengers.  Snacks and bottled waters are complimentary on all trips. Our customized tour vans and transportation vehicles are also equipped with a DVD player for informational videos or movies for the kids.

Would you like to stop for coffee and a Danish before your trip? No problem. Just let us know and we’ll make a stop at the café of your choice or pick it up for you to enjoy on the road. For lunch, we can provide a picnic basket or boxed lunches filled with your favorite foods and a delicious bottle of wine. Just let us know ahead of time for lunch orders, which can easily be arranged and prepared by one of our fantastic local delis!
